I love my dog more than anything – which means I also love treating him.
I saw whilst scrolling on Pinterest a no bake banana and peanut-butter dog treat post and thought I would do a bit of a spin on this considering I overestimated how much pumpkin purée I would get through In the fall.
I love these super simple treats and pretty much all the ingredients are items we already stock in our kitchen meaning it’s a budget friendly recipe.
Ingredients:
- 425g Pumkin puree filler
- 600g oats
- 100ml milk
- 70g peanut butter
Directions:
- In the large bowl mix the milk, peanut butter and pumpkin puree together until all are combined.
- Gradually add the 500g of oats until the mix is completely blended (keep the outstanding 100gs for later). The mix should be at a dough like texture if its is still a little sticky add another 50g of oats.
- Using your hands roll small amounts on the mixture into balls (they should be about 1 1/2 inches thick) then roll in the oats that were put aside earlier to coat.
- Place on a tray in your frigde and allow to sit for an hour.
These treats can last up to 1 week in the fridge if kept in an airtight container – that is if your doggo will let them last that long!
