So, it’s the end of the month and that means its time to recap on my goals.
Number 1 of my personal goals was to keep on top of the revision for unit 2 in my course. I did manage to do this, but barely, I think the unit was a bit more intense than I originally thought and I didn’t give myself realistic time frames to complete each part. Note to self – next month flick through the paper work before splitting the hours.
I have managed to find a book. It’s called the Consequence of Loving Colt, so far it seems to be a comedy romance where a girl is in love with her brother’s best friend, but he doesn’t know. They have been brought together for the brothers wedding and it is about the lead up to his big day. So far the book is light hearted and flows well. I’m not too far into it but I’m really enjoying how likeable the characters are.
With my goal of getting my room organised I managed to achieve this last weekend. I spent a day clearing out all my cupboards and removing anything which was unwanted or unneeded. I now need to decorate which I cannot wait to do! Time to get on Pinterest and set up a new board…
Health and fitness
I’ve done a lot of deep breathing this month, but I think that is more in the ‘god give me strength’ way rather than in the Yoga sense. I will continue to work on getting back into yoga, but I 100% failed to do so this month. I would say it was a lack of time but truthfully it was laziness, so I am really disappointed with myself.
Regarding eating more fruit this was really all over the place, I would have a week of fruit with pretty much every meal, then I would have a week of binging on bad food and not sticking to my plan at all… is it cheating if I count that as a sort of pass? I think if I was going to improve on eating healthier in the future I would first have to plan and prep because winging it doesn’t work!
Makeup free a few days a month was easy, every Sunday I have made a conscious effort to not wear makeup which I stuck to and I have even managed a few weekdays where there are no meetings or lunches, so I can go makeup free to work as well.
I would say the blog is up and running. I am still having a few hiccups with set up and I definitely need to spend some time on the layout of my blog. I would say goal 1 is achieved!
I have managed to get 8 posts up including this one this month which is above target. I know some of them are not that exciting, but hey, I am still finding my feet and finding my style so hopefully next month there will be a big improvement as I am feeling very positive about what I have lined up!
My final goal was to set up a day to post and I wouldn’t say I have found that yet. No day seems to be more ideal than another and as I am sure a lot of you know some of the posts with pictures and editing take a little while to perfect so I am going to continue to wing it for now and see what comes naturally.
Over all I would say I have managed 6.5/9 which for a first month of goal setting I would say is better than I expected. I will hopefully hit more of my goals next month!
